Learning Through Play

Ducklings Day Nurseries strives to provide excellent standards of education and invaluable early experiences for its young members. We seek to enhance the quality and consistency of learning in the Early Years Sector through exemplary approaches. We set high standards for inclusive practices and equal opportunities are at the heart of what we do. We work hard to protect, love and nurture every individual ensuring that their well-being is paramount. We provide carefully planned and assessed play opportunities for each child so that they can flourish and reach their full potential. 

Ducklings Day Nurseries Ltd. is part-owned by an experienced infant teacher who works alongside a dedicated team of well-qualified practitioners to disseminate good teaching and practice. The teacher has gained the qualification of Early Years Professional Status and uses her expertise about the early years to enhance the planning and resourcing of the entire curriculum within the nurseries. All sessions and activities address the requirements identified by the National Standards and the Early Years Foundation Stage documents.

Our two established nurseries have repeatedly gained OFSTED Outstanding status in all areas. OFSTED have noted that teaching, learning and play opportunities in the settings are of a consistently high standard, which in turn results in outstanding progress for the children. It has been recognised that standards within the nurseries exceed expectations and are exemplary settings for its members.
